Can I overcome REALLY unsevere stuttering? I started in 2nd grade when my family moved across the country.?

7th now
This has been RUINING my life. School’s so hard for me right now but I try not to participate because I’m afraid I’ll stutter.
I’m currently in 7th grade, and I started having a REALLY unsever stutter in 2nd grade.
I was never born a stutter, actually, I was really fluent. My mom always said that I was really fluent as a baby.

I’m popular at school but now some of my friends think I’m weird because I keep to myself most of the time. Middle school is a hard time:( I rarely think of my unsever stuttering in elementary school.

HELP! I really want to overcome it I’ve borrowed "Self Therapy for the Stutter" at the library but it doesn’t really help (I read the whole thing)
I’ve tried tongue twisters. My stuttering comes and goes, and it worsens a little, but always goes back down.
i stutter about once every 3 minutes of conversation (I stutter like "l-letter"
Most of the time it’s silent stuttering. Like the "l" is silent but my mouth still moves but then I can say "letter"
Help!!
My family doesn’t have health insurance. So I can’t go to a speech pathologist/therapist.
i would really appreciate it if you could tell me how you overcame a very minor stutter. i would really appreciate it. This is the only barrier in my life. I get straight A’s in school

    1. Could you save up money to see a hypnotist? One time, you’re cured.
Bless you, and good luck! :)

    2. Yes…..maybe a hypnotist may help…If not medication to help you SLOW DOWN YOUR SPEECH..or a speech therapist if your family has medical insurance…good luck!!!

    3. You are acting worse than those people who have a severe stutter! If you really are as smart as you say you are, you would be able to work through "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" and take the suggestions for learning more fluent speech instead of constantly yelling "Help!"

It has and can be done. You can help yourself if you don’t have the money to go to a speech therapist. There are online videos of therapists working with stutterers at http://www.stutteringhelp.org. Take the time to explore the information there instead of wasting time on here.

Then, maybe you can become a speech therapist and help others! That is a much better future than a constant complainer.

    4. go to http://www.stutteringhelp.org

    5. Try http://www.stutteringhelp.org; they are a nonprofit organization started by a man who stuttered; they have lots of free resources that are great
