I am 23 year old male and I have been stuttering/ stammering since I were about 10 years old, due to the complexity of my job as a community support officer and considering my personal life away from work; every day is a struggle and often I give up, although I have attended many therapy classes which were referred by my GP, I believe they do not help me. I developed a stutter immediately after my dad died. I was 5. I’m 20 now, it’s gone down but its still there. I really don’t like the idea of hypnosis but if anyone knows of any medication or some kind of therapy, I’d really appreciate it if you let me know! It gets really embarrassing!!
I’ve had a stutter pretty much most of my life (it started when I was about 5 and i’m 19 now) and I went to speech therapy for a few years but I still stutter. It effects my everyday life and sometimes it annoys me but i’ve learned that it’s a characteristic of me. I just want to know if anybody has any solutions to help with my stutter (i’ve heard speaking in accents helps). I’d like to diminish it since I am interested in acting.

these two things r really ruining my life!! idk what to do anymore!! i went to speech therapy and it didnt help and i tried med for OCD and that didnt help either!
